Guest guest
I don't know if I mentioned it or not but the doctor did do a sphincterotomy I think....Is that what they call the procedure that they do when the pressure is high in the duct. I was just told that they made a cut. I probably sound stupid but I am trying to understand this. When you had the procedure did you liver enzymes become elevated. My doctor said it was caused from the cut of the muscle. Patty
Guest guest
I have had a KUB x-ray everytime to see if the stents have migrated..it's funny, and I hope was only unfortunate for my case, but the first stent I had placed, I started having pain about 2 weeks after it was placed. I had a KUB taken and they told me there was no sign of the stent, then I had another stent in, stent taken out, stent in , stent taken out..you get the picture..each stent I had placed, they did an ERCP to pull them out, as they were placed in there so they wouldn't fall out on their own. Imagine my surprise when 4 months down the track, I had another ERCP for a sphincterotomy and the doctors found the original stent sucked deep into my pancreatic duct..yet it never showed up on any x-rays taken...
