Guest guest
Hi everyone, I wrote in about a week ago letting everyone know that at the halfway point my son's measurements have improved but as I continue to think about it I was just thinking how much more correction could he get in another 8 weeks or will he grow out of it before he reaches the full potential. He received the band at 7.5 months and is now 9.5 months. He went from 15mm to 9mm cranial vault and both his mid and base skull asymmetries improved a few mm to 4 and 3 if I remember correctly which puts him close to normal range for those two. I am hoping that his cranial vault will get in the range of 3-5mm of asymmetry. Do you think this is possible with your experiences? Any comments would be helpful. I am going for his fitting on Friday so I will also ask the tech. But do you think I am being too optimistic??? I don't think I would get a second band at this point even if he doesn't get into that 3-5 range but I am just hoping!!! It comforts me that the technician who is the most experienced at the facility said that if he came in today we would not recommend a band but I can still see the flat spot even though it is much better. OK, starting to ramble. What do you think???Thanks, Sybil
Guest guest
Hi Sybil, I think your son could still get into the " target range " . One problem with us moms being so aware of plagio is that we notice any asymmetry. My daughter had brachy and still has some flatness that I notice when her hair is wet. You might be like that with your baby too when everything is done, but I bet it won't be noticeable to others. -christine sydney 2 yrs starband grad
