Guest guest
Gelatin: 1/2 cup Welch's grape from bottle 1 package of Knox gelatin sprinkled on top to soften Add 1/2 cup boiling water (now its diluted) Stir well chill My Knox says 1 package over 1/4 cup of liquid but I find that too stiff. There are 4 in a box and its a total of 28 grams so 1 package should be 8 grams which would be what?...a tablespoon? That feels about right. I hope this helps you. Charlene Uc 8 years SCD 5 1/2 years I really don't have directions. On the internet I found these directions: 1/2 cup cold water 3 tablespoons unflavored gelatin 1 cup boiling water 12 oz can frozen juice concentrate Let the gelatin soften in the cold water for 1 minute then mix into the boiling water. Stir about 5 minutes until all the gelatin is dissolved. When you are absolutely certain that all of the gelatin has dissolved add the undiluted, frozen juice concentrate. Stir until the frozen concentrate melts completely. Place the gelatin mixture into a dish or pan and chill overnight, or until firm. Cut the pan into squares. Great for after school or lunch box snacks. Is this the ticket? But is frozen Welch's grape legal? Do I dilute to make the jello? What if using bottled? ARGH! This is supposed to be my day for getting things done before intro tomorrow and I am getting no where. Angie > > Perhaps I'm overlooking this somewhere. I have unflavored bulk gelatin. Elaine forgot to remove a recipe in BTVC which calls for O.J. frozen concentrate. > > Carol F. Guest guest
One package or envelope of Knox gelatin is supposed to contain 2 1/4 teaspoons of gelatin. Useful to know if you buy Knox gelatin in the bigger food-service orange canister, like I do. Lorilyn My Knox says 1 package over 1/4 cup of liquid but I find that too stiff.
