Guest guest
Oh, Sweetie. How it hurts to know my girl is having to endure so much. Don't you dare hold back on mom. Wish had you here, I could, at least, take care of you. Please let me know if I can do anything and you're in my prayers. Mom/Jo Morning All Well it is Tuesday and I survive another Monday!LOL Hope all is well with you! Wish I could say the same for me. Thought I had best post you all to let you know what I found out from my Dr. yesterday. Before I get yelled at for not sharing my problems with you. Most of you know I would rather keep them to my self. Well I had a bunch of lab work done and my annual lady type check up! Oh boy. After being poked, prodded and totally embarrassed here are my results! My blood pressure is still too high. It is/was 168/100. This is on two BP meds. I am to go the dr. office once a week for 4 weeks to see if it will go down. Love that pred! Not! After having hot flashes for two months they have determined I am menopausal. So hormones here I come. Oh boy. Last time they tried this it cause my RP to go crazy. Going to start me on a low dose of preprint to start with to see what happens. At least the pap test, sugar levels, and thyroid are all working great and the RP is being quiet. So what more could I ask for. My stupid PCP told me that the RP was an underlying disease compared to the problems I am having with the BP, hormone, and other problem that I will tell you about when I know more. I am so glad he knows so much about the RP! NOT!!! I also have some other stuff that is going on and I go to see a specialist in April for it. I will tell you more about it when I know more. Right now I am in limbo!LOL Love those doctors. They want you to see a specialist and the specialist can't see you for months!LOL You all know me keep plugging away no mater what!LOL I am doing okay so that is the main thing. So see you don't need to worry about me for awhile yet!LOL Everyone take care and have a great Tuesday! Guest guest
Glenda, I can relate only too well to the hot flashes. They make me nuts! Between the hot flashes in my ears and the rest of me, I doubt I'll be wearing my winter coat for years! How I wish I could take the HRT, they think it was a contributing factor to my strokes - not that they can prove it, of course, that would be way too easy. Hang in there! Love, Judy Morning All Well it is Tuesday and I survive another Monday!LOL Hope all is well with you! Wish I could say the same for me. Guest guest
Glenda, thanks for the sweet message. Yes, we must remember that, as much as we loved and cared for one, God loved and cared for them more. He makes no mistakes. Love all, Jo To: Rpolychondritis <Rpolychondritis >Date: Thursday, March 28, 2002 1:22 PMSubject: Morning All Morning All, Sorry I didn't answer the mail yesterday. I want you all to know that I am here for any of you. This is going to be a rough time for us but we will get through. Ute is now where there is no more pain only the ones left behind are suffering. We just need to pull together and help each other. Sure this RP is a nasty disease at times. But we have to think positive and help these Dr. find a cause/cure for this cRaP. It just makes me more determined. is so right about us all taking charge of our own med. needs. Finding a Dr. who cares enough to know about RP or is willing to read material about it. I am changing Dr. right now. I am not going to sit back one more minute and wait for them to mess something up. Someone said time here is too short. Boy do they got that right. My motto is life is too short. I try to live life to the fullest and enjoy it while I can. I don't want to get to the end and say woulda, shoulda, coulda. Lets all pull together and keep Ute's family in our thoughts and prayers. Also Amber and her family. Don't let these loses be just that. Lets pull together and work harder on getting the word out to others about RP. Someone asked about the brochure. It is in the progress of going to the presses. Just have to choose paper etc. Everything seems to take time. We will let everyone know when they are completed and ready to be distributed let me tell you! ) Everyone take care and know my thoughts and prayers are with you! All of you are important to me and are all my extended family!
