Congratulations!!! I am so very happy for you! HMO are know to be

difficult. You must have done a wonderful job with that appeal. Best

wishes with your MGB. I have a ten year old son who is already making

plans to do all of the things that I have not been able to do with

him because of my weight. He knew the risks that come with surgery,

but knew how much I wanted it so that I could get on with my life

instead of sitting on the sidelines. We'll have a busy summer next

year, as will you and your son! I'll be watching for your post-op

report and will pray for your safe journey.

Hey, ! I don't have your e-mail address so am just replying to

e-groups...Where in Okla. are you? I am from Oologah and na was the first

person to talk about the MGB. I saw her today and she has lost 110 lbs! My

appeal results should be decided tomorrow. I will see my PCP and hope to get a

go ahead on my Sept. 20 surgery date. I will be praying for you! Maybe we will

be " littermates " . My clinic time on the 19th is 1pm. Laurie from Ohio has the

same date! Tami Stauffer

Where in OK are you from? I had MGB on 7/12/00 and am doing great! Do you

know if there is an OK support group?

Good Luck on Sept. 14th. If you have any questions, please feel free to

e-mail. I am one of the lucky ones and have had a great experience- and ,

was self-pay, but it has been worth it!

i'm in tulsa. there is a group that meets monthly at southcrest

hospital here in tulsa...i went once when i was considering having

rny with dr. gorospe here, but haven't been back, because i felt,

rightly or wongly, that they might not be as welcoming since i opted

not to have his procedure (he attends every meeting.) i plan on going

some after surgery.

Hey, ! I went to one of those support groups of Dr.G's, too. I really went

because a lady needed a ride and to meet Julinana! I think it was the July

one... They spoke about the Sept. picnic and they had a plastic surgeon speak.I

saw na yesterday and she is so great! I am glad to meet you and...oh, sorry

I didn't realize you already had a date set.I was talking about the littermate

thing..I wonder who thought that up?I have rely been trying not to get my hopes

up on this insurance thing but I can't help it! I will see my PCP today and

probably find out today or tomorrow...Tami
