I had trouble getting ADEK the last time, too, but found their customer service line to be very helpful. Not only was the woman very nice on the phone, but they overnighted me my ADEK so I wouldn't have to be without. Try calling them. This is the number I have for customer service - 1-, but you may need a different number depending on what program you are using. If you don't have another number, this one should help you get started anyway. Guest guest Posted July 25, 2003 Report Share Posted July 25, 2003 , I can relate to your frustration. Zach in on the Care First program because he is under 2, but was using MT 12 for a while. At first we were told it was ok and they would make an exception and still provide the MT 12's for free. The next month I was told I needed a special letter of donation from our doctor to get the enzymes. We have gone back to the smaller enzymes because Zach was chewing the big ones. But each month I get a different story. The last time a very nice lady named took care of everything for us and even sent the adek's out to us quickly. Maybe you can ask to speak to when you call. Have you every used any other kinds of enzymes? I am going to ask at Zach's next clinic if we can use Creon. I still do not think the enzymes are working right. Guest guest Posted July 25, 2003 Report Share Posted July 25, 2003 Sara, If you do switch to the Creon, they have a program too, call Wee Care, Piper is on it. They so far have been great. They send you a 3 month supply along with the Vitamax drops (I was told that they are the same as ADEK's). I think that they automatically send the stuff out every 3 months, but I'm not sure about it. Your CF doc can get you set up with them. We send the proof of purchases to patients & they are supposed to fill for you all as soon as they get yours in mail from you. I will call them as ask " WHAT'S UP!! So I called and they said their computer system didn't take the request properly. My two cents says that they haven't gotten all the bugs worked out of this NEW way of doing things.
