Guest guest
It's not unheard of, but I wouldn't call it " normal " really either. Did the ortho say to leave the band off until it heals? I had heard (previous to getting the band) that skin breakdown was one of the worst things to happen because it meant leaving the band off until it ealed and you would lose correction time. Where is the blister on his head? Jake-20m (tort resolved/rt plagio/DOCBand) Jordan-4 > > Malcolm woke up with morning with a big red spot with a dime-sized stark-white blister in > the middle of it. Guest guest
we just went through this with our son. He was in the helmet (starband) only three days when a red spot suddenly went blistery and popped... It developed a nasty scab and we have had to leave it off until the scab fell off--which was today. So we are starting all over again today. In the meantime, we did have the helmet adjusted and scraped at that spot to hopefully prevent that from happening again. All in all, he's had it off for two weeks now while waiting for the scab to completely heal. The therapist has suggested that I start emailing her pics of ALL pink and red spots so she can determine if the helmet needs adjusted before it gets that far again. We live 45 mins away, so she's willing to work through email to save us a trip. <nwilkens2275@...> wrote: It's not unheard of, but I wouldn't call it "normal" really either. Guest guest
It's between his hairline and eyebrow. It seems to have abated since the adjustment yesterday. I can't wait to be done with this darned thing! If life doesn't give you a happy ending, make your own.
