Guest guest
Sharon, First of all, there is no such thing as a silly question!!! A lot of times we just take things for granted and don't bother to mention them and when we do we find out we are not alone. First about your hair. When I was on metho, my hair started to fall out and got really thin, I have always had thick hair. Went off the metho and it didn't fall out, but my hair has no shine or body now. Well, it has gone from straight to curly, figure that one out. LOL I too cut my hair short so I could try to deal with it. Don't know if it's the pred or what. Yes, I almost always feel like I have a fever and don't. Even get the chills. I feel like I'm burning up. Can't figure that one out either. For two weeks now I have been nauseated and thought i had a bug or something, but it isn't going away. Just feel nauseated all the time. I called my rheumy today and she wanted me to up my pred. Said with my symptoms (nausea, feeling cold, tired and weak) that it could be my adrenal glands haven't kicked back in with the lowe dose of pred. So I upped my pred back one mg. I feel better tonight. Will see what happens. Please keep asking questions, maybe we can all figure out a reason why we feel like we do and this may help to find a CURE!! hugs

Guest guest
Dear Sharyn, I go through spells where I thow up a couple times a day. Its almost projectile vomiting, run like heck to the bathroom or a sink or whatever. Its usually just very milk colored mucus. There is also major bouts of diarrhea. I have found if I take an Imodium at night its not so bad in the morning. I have had to clean up a couple messes on my way to the bathroom. Embarrassing to say. At night my head is very warm, so is my body. We live in Wisconsin so its cold here and I sleep with the window cracked open and on top of the covers most of the night. I flip my pillow several times overnight to get it cool for my head. My hair is thinning badly. No reason, just is...You are not alone...Love, Sue M
Guest guest
hi Sue Called my Rheumy today. The diarrhea is so bad I'm getting dehydrated and my left kidney is really bothering me. Am trying to drink as much water as I can even though I " hate " the stuff. My left kidney shut down with a kidney stone about 23 years ago and then had more stones about 12 years ago. That same kidney tells me when I'm not taking in enough liquids. But the Rheumy has taken me off the Imuran right now. Nurse told me if it didn't clear up in a couple of days to call and I would have to come in before my normal appointment which on the 20th. So am now only on the 17 1/2 Predisone. Sure hope this does the trick since I'm really not feeling great at all. Know many of you have told me including my Rheumy this will be a trial and error when it comes to the medication. Hate feeling like crap and when I get home from work I sit there like a damn zombie don't you know. Hope tomorow I'll be better. Well just wanted to let you know what's happening here. Am at work right now so need to get back to it. Hugs Sharyn > Dear Sharyn, I go through spells where I thow up a couple times a day.
