Guest guest
I have always made my own... Joy or Dawn dishwashing liquid works best. 1 cup liquid detergent to 4 cups water. Add 2 Tablespoons of glycerin. Overcast, humid days... right after a rain storm... are the best for bubbles. The humidity makes them last a long time... and you get great rainbow colors! Sunny, hot days make bubbles fizzle out quickly. Patti, mom to Katera OT: Bubbles again Does anyone know a good bubble recipe that I could make? Guest guest
Thank you for the recipe. I just cried this morning after the dust had settled. It was like there isn't anything that he like that he gets to do any more. Where do you get the glycerin? Is this a drugstore thing or can it be bought at like Wal-Mart. Guest guest
I am going to look online and see if there is a more natural soap recipe. I can't use Dawn or Joy. They peel the skin right off my hands. Most dishwashing soaps are bad news for me. If I find any natural bubble recipes or pre-made bubbles, I'll post links. Guest guest
Probably either.... in the pharmacy section, whereever they carry common first-aid items, hydrogen peroxide, epsom salts, that sort of thing. Comes in a brown plastic bottle. Cheap! Patti Re: OT: Bubbles again Thank you for the recipe. I just cried this morning after the dust had settled. Guest guest
Jody, You can use any kind of dish detergent for this bubble recipe. There's just some added ingredient in Joy and Dawn (alcohol?? I don't know) that makes the best bubble soap. It still works with other natural kinds, though. I have used Bio-Kleen dish soap... b/c that's the kind I buy for dishwashing. Still works.... superior to the cheapo ready-made bubbles you buy in toy stores. Patti Re: OT: Bubbles again I am going to look online and see if there is a more natural soap recipe.
