Welcome Home Sara,

I was in the Aug 1 clinic, I was post op as of 7/27/00 (we were

against the wall on the right side of room). I was with my husband,

Rick. I wish I had got to meet you since we live pretty close. I am

glad you are home and doing well. I know the kids missed you both.

Take care, welcome home and back to the group!

Hi all,

We drove home to Tennessee yesterday after clinic (about 9 hours) from NC. I

had

the MGB on Aug. 2nd. My husband and I were at the 9:00am clinic on Aug. 1st.

We

met lots of great people!! I've missed just about all the posts while I was

gone,

so I feel a little lost on the news.

I can't remember everyone's name we met, so if I forget your name, or get it

wrong, I'm sorry. We met Drema (Flo's daughter). She's beautiful. I haven't

heard when she had her surgery. She was trying to get in earlier than she had

been scheduled, I know. How is she? We also met Flo's " much older sister " who

is

very nice and kind about being the " much older sister. " (I am also a " much older

sister " so I can relate :))

We met Dr. Laurel, and andria from New York, and , who are all very

young and beautiful. andria and had surgery on the 2nd also. They

both looked great afterward. Laurel had hers at , and she loved it (,

not necessarily the actual surgery LOL), and she also looked great at clinic on

Tuesday. We also met Ms. Katz (I'm sorry not to remember your first name :( )

who

had surgery on the 2nd with me. She was so nice and fun! And she was doing so

well at clinic Tuesday. We also met Kay and Frona. They were so very nice,

too.

Kay and I laid in Pre-op together and talked, which certainly helped me be more

calm, until they wheeled Kay away for surgery. But then andria came in with

her mother, and I felt better. Poor andria was the ninth and last MGB that

day! Her mother was very worried about her, but she did great. I haven't seen

Kay and Frona since before surgery. How are they?

At clinic on the 1st we also saw several post-ops who were doing well, and

Fivebugsonaleaf who is beautiful, too, (so many beautiful people!!!) and looked

great yesterday. We saw some Michigan people, too, and were so glad they got to

have the surgery.

and were there and came and saw me before surgery in the

room where I was waiting, and in Pre-op. even took a picture (or video?)

of

me in pre-op, where I was, of course, looking my best, LOL. also came to

see me after surgery, and we had a good talk. She was so nice to me, and it

really helped with the nerves to see her before surgery.

So everyone was wonderful! Dr. R is funny and personable and enjoyable, and, of

course, a great surgeon. My surgery went well, and I will tell you more about

that in another post. I'm glad to be home and back on the list!
