We have reverted to stainless steel, NO plastics, we try to reheat on the stove

instead of microwave [in fact I put my microwave in storage]

no aluminum either.

I believe at one time the government was sueing Dupont because of

teflon....don't have any articles to link you to though.

This is just what we do, oh and we also like the old standard of cast iron.

Hope that helps.

Pecanbread is about the diet. Be informed. Make your own decision about

raw milk, organic food, cookware etc. I had to dive away my teflon as I

had a chemical reaction to it. I am in a minority of the genral

population but now Health Canada is obviously concerned

No sense being angry Antoinette. How were you to know the Canadian

government would finally catch up with what I knew and others with

chemical sensitivities knew six years ago.

Google " Dangers of Microwave Ovens, " and make your own determination.

There may be people here who are not ready to give up the convenience.

Elaine was not into researching these things -she was focused on

biology and nutrition. Most allergists I met pretended not to know

about chemical sensitivities. We can't deal with all these issues on

Pecanbread but you can look for answers elsewhere if you are concerned.

I believe reducing all sorts of toxins as much as possible lightens the

load on the immune system and helps with healing. There just isn't

space and time to deal with it in detail on the list.

And it well might make you feel crazy. My doctor sent me to a shrink

when I reported my reactions. The shrink thought I was of sound mind

and had heard of Latex Allergy and Chemical and electro magnetic

sensitivities. He congratulated me for finding out what was making me

feel ill and reducing exposure to it as much as realistically possible.

Finally, my doctor also caught up with the effct and increasingly bad

environment was having on some patients.
