Guest guest
Dear , I wanted to welcome you to our group. My name is Deanna, I'm 40 yrs. old & live in New Mexico. I've had cp for about 10 years. I'm gald you're here, but I wish it wasn't for this reason. This is such a great support group. It's the cp group I've stayed with. Everyone here is very open & can understand what you're going through. I was " in the dark " for a couple of years before my actual diagnosis. Then I was accused of being an alcoholic & a druggie. Things have gotten better, I guess b/c I have 10 yrs. of documentation. I know what it's like to be in constant pain. I was in the hospital a couple of weeks ago & have been in relentless pin since. That's when I get discouraged & start reaching out to the people here. I was curious where you live? What kind of work do you do? Please let me know how the CT goes, ok? I hope you'll stay. Guest guest
Thanks for the welcome Deanna. I'm 45 yrs old and very nervous about all of this. I'm really hoping that the gastroscopy/endoscopy scheduled for tomorrow will show something. Mainly because I just want to get a firm reason for all of this and proceed on from there I guess. But, like I said (and I don't know if it's common) the CT and ultrasound didn't show anything as far as gall stones, etc. I went to the gastroenterologist yesterday for the first time, and yes, I too, got the impression that the alcohol-thing was in question. It made me feel kind of weird and yet, I guess they have to look at those types of things because of the " statistics " . Anyway, although I used to have a couple of glasses of wine at night or maybe a couple of glasses of rum/diet cokes I am not what anyone would consider an alcoholic!! I'm feeling a " bit " better today physically (but wonder if I'll ever be able to exercise again!! I've lost over 70 lbs in the last year and felt great until this). I live in Rhode Island and I'm a financial analyst working for the government. Thanks for the welcome > > Just wanted to post a quick one to introduce myself and to let > > everyone know that I'm so glad that I found this group!!
