Guest guest
Hello Heidi, I'm just delighted for you that you have the hope of having your pain issues addressed so well.Your own doctor is obviously excellent and also knows he can work with you as a knowledgeable, co-operative and perceptive patient. I do so hope that this works out well for you. I read your message to the parents of the little girl with CP facing a possible TP. I do hope they find the right answer for them very soon. I'm very interested in the notion of burnout as my pancreas must be so near the end of its functioning now. There doesn't seem to be any digestive function left and very soon, according to both my gastro and the panc specialist ( " Could be tomorrw....could be in a year's time " to quote!), it won't be producing insulin either. I'd love to think that this might mean being totally pain-free (assuming I had no pseudocysts, of course, or other complications) but I don't think it's a universal spin-off of burnout, is it? It would be wonderful if it were! Of course, I know the diabetes will take some getting used to and it's hard work coping adequately with it. For you, I hope that the pseudocysts resolve themselves and that you go back to being wonderfully pain-free. You deserve it, if anyone does! Of course, I wish pain-free days for all of us and especially for that little girl. With good wishes, Fliss
