Guest guest
,_._,___ Could you help me with a question? We have been on the scd diet and are seeing lots of improvement in gi function. However, my child continues to be plagued with inflammation issues. My doctor thinks my child is reacting to the magnesium stearate in our supps. I see that my Kirkman's B-6 contains silicon dioxide as a lubricant. Most of my other Kirkman supps contain magnesium stearate, and some contain both. Is this also included as a lubricant. Please tell me what is magnesium stearate? Is it the same thing as v caps- like hydroxyporpyl methylcellulose? The selenium also has in it L-leucine and L-selenomethionine. What are these? One of the probiotics contains both Cellulose and plant cellulose. What is the difference? The doc said that Thorne supps may not have this lubricant- magnesium stearate. I also think that Klaire products might be really clean. However, I thought that Kirkman was really pure so I am surprised by the magnesium stearate issue. My doctor has said that my child may be responding negatively to the lubricant materials used to stuff the capsules by machine. Can you tell me do you know of any alternatives for these particular supplements that don't use these lubricants? Is it possible to be sensitive to magnesium stearate? Have you ever heard of an allergy to the silicon dioxide or magnesium stearate? In the alternative, is it possible to be allergic to plant cellulose capsules? Here are the Kirkman supps we are taking.Chromium Selenium Magnesium , separate B-6 by itself lactobacillus acidolfolus Nuthera multi vitamin with P5P. (My doctor thinks my child is responding particularly bad to this multivitamin ), Vitamin C z inc pro bio bold innulin free the selenium also has in it L-leucine and L-selenomethionine. What are these - are these lubricants also? I am under the impression that they are not lubricants. My child continues to react to something we are taking. Do any of your children have sensitivity to magnesium stearate? what do you do about it? what supps are you using? what are other sources of magnesium sterate? thank you so much. Rob's mom - it is hard to say how long we have been on scd as we have been making so many mistakes.
