Hi Lara:

Hey, where've you been? Everyone has been asking for you: I guess you made

yourself such a presence that your absence was noticed immediately.

T posted your e-mail address because a number of us had been asking about

you and she says you're going through a rough period.

Sounds like you've reached a mental and physical plateau and it has been pretty

hard to function. Well, we've all been there done that and nothing helps like

knowing others have experienced the same feelings. Really, we have. Just don't

let this difficult period snowball into an irreversible depression. Have you

seen your doc? Maybe that would be a good starting point, you know, some

psychopharmacological support?

I don't really know anything about you, except I think I have a 'feel' for your

personality as presented on the web. I'm not certain I remember exactly all of

the different parts of your situation, but, from what I recall, you are trying

to loose weight so you can have the MGB and not have to resort to one of the

more invasive operations. That sounds ass-backwards, doesn't it? I mean you

have to loose weight so you can have an operation because you can't loose

weight. What a conundrum! Life's funny that way, isn't it? I guess 'funny'

isn't really the correct word, but this IS a family audience, after all....

Why not come back and resume your place on the board (cheerleader)

Anyhow, this is supposed to be a support group. But, we can't support you if

you don't participate. I think the nature of the group is that people are going

to pass through during their quest for the MGB and slowly move out as they deal

with after surgery issues and on to the rest of their lives. I know it is

difficult to see others reach their goals and move on. But you were doing so

well there for a while. So, you'll be here a little longer than most, so what?

Maybe you'll be the recipient of the first MGB shrine, who knows?

Oh, by the way, did LT tell you about the recent updates to her website? They

are really awesome, although when I praise her for them, she acts as if it is

second nature and not really that special. But, what does she know?
