Guest guest
Hi , Dapsone syndrome is a hypersensitivity to the med. It usually occurs within the 1st 6 weeks of treatment. I woke up one morning and could not stand up and was incoherent. I had a fever and was having difficulty breathing. My husband called my daughter and she came over and helped my hubby get me dressed and in the car. He did not call an ambulance because he did not want me going to the local hospital He drove me to the Cleveland Clinic ER. I don't remember much because I was in and out of consciousness. I remember my oxygen level was very low and I had a very high fever. They stopped the Dapsone and put me on oxygen and IVs. I was in the ICU for 4 days.
