Guest guest
Hi Vicki, I'm so thrilled to know magnesium supplements helped you. I know it made a huge difference for me; if I go just two days at a reduced dose, then all my health problems come screaming back (and I eat really healthy, darn it!!) So, basically, I guess I'm a magnesium junkie for life. Are you using the Solgar Mg glycinate or did you go with a different type? I'll get the food list to you and the others who asked for it. But I want to go over it again to be sure info is current. In the meantime... eat lots of frozen baby brussel sprouts and fresh garlic. Also, I wanted to let you know that I have been taking Magnesium (for myself, I was tired and achy and very low energy) I have been on it for about 3 weeks now and I cannot believe how much better I feel. Before I was having a hard time getting out of bed at 7:30 a.m now I am up at 5:00 and I am able to accomplish so much in a day! Thank you so much for the info!!! Thanks Vicki

Guest guest
Vicki, In Aug. 2001, I started out with 200 mg. Solgar Mg gly, then within a couple months, I worked my way up to 400 mg. daily. I was also getting an additional 200 mg. Mg oxide from my GNC Women's Ultra Mega vitamin/mineral supplement, but recently I switched to Natrol's " My Favorite Multi 50+ " because all the minerals are Albion Lab's chelated minerals (except for the calcium and magnesium, darn it). I'm finding it impossible to find a product containing ALL Albion Lab's chelated minerals along with the right combination of other ingredients. So right now I'm getting 266.66 mg. Mg ox from my Natrol multi, and 400 mg. Solgar Mg gly for a daily total of 666.66 mg. magnesium. (Uh, oh. That's freaky... should I be superstitious?) Oh, some days I take an additional 100 mg. Solgar depending on my symptoms (or foods eaten that day), and twice I've taken an additional 200 mg. in the middle of the night to kill a headache. It worked like a charm and didn't cause insomnia, which shocked me because if I take the Solgar magnesium after 7:00 pm, I'm usually wide awake until 2:00 am.
