experience of nose bleeds, as this is a first for me.

Natasha, Was a CT scan done to look for polyps? Also does he have any

of the symptoms of sinusitis, such as cough at night, intermittent low

fever (99 -100), runny nose or drainage into the throat, bad breath,

sore throat, facial pain or pressure, or headache? (He doesn't have to

have all of these symptoms.) Regarding the nosebleeds, my daughter Kate

(4 w/cf) occasionally gets them from her left nostril which (perhaps

coincidentally) is the side she's about to have sinus surgery on to open

up her left maxillary sinus and remove a polyp. I remember recently

reading something about nosebleeds associated with steroid treatment I

think, but now I can't find the reference. Anybody else know of

something like this?

Natasha,

My daughter (who does not have CF) had really bad nose bleeds until

she was about 12 years old. Her doctor said that it is not uncommon

for some children to have nose bleeds. Her nose did not hurt and her

voice did not change. I hope that your child also outgrows the nose

bleeds. The doctor told me that blood vessels in the nasal passge

are close to the surface and can bleed easy.
