Hi all,

I went off the pill in November and haven't had a period since. Does

anyone know if there is a connection between CP and menstrual cycles? I don't

want to go back on the pill again to start it because I don't think it is good

for us CP people.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi : First off I don't know how old you are, so that doesn't

help me much, but I can relate to the same thing------except that

I'm 54 . I had a bad P. attack in Nov. and I had been on Alesse

for perimenopause for about a year to stop weekly occurring

periods. To make a long story short, when I went off the pill at

the end of Nov. and I also haven't had a period since. Maybe

with me I've finally gone into full blown menopause but it makes

me wonder if pancreatitis has something to do with it.

I read an article not long ago that the pill can also cause

pancreatitis in some people. Since I was perfectly fine before I

went on the goofy things I'm really suspecting that it may have

caused it. I'll be really upset if it is.

I hope you're doing fine and find out what's going on with your

body.

All the best, Judy

,

I always think about that.

I'm on vaginal ring, to avoid ovulation for 2 months.

When I'm not using it, my pre-menstrual period was horrible, much more

abdominal pain and in the ovulation time, a lot of nausea.

Well, I really don't know if was due a real big haemorragic cyst that I had

and was removed with half of my left ovary, and a common cyst in the right

one, but now I'm much better.

By the way, yestarday I started to have a real bad bout of waterly diahrrea.

Tomorrow I'll see my gastro doc.

I also read that hormones are not so good for CP, but I'm not using it as

contraceptive, it's a treatment to rest my ovaries.

I think that you can call your gyn. and talk about that. Could be possible

that you're having some hormonal imbalance.

I'm 38, no kids, and always have ovarian problems, and never used hormones

before. But as I lost half of one in last december, I became to be afraid of

it.

Good Luck,

Liane
