I have to say that the mayo recipe I use, which is posted at www.scdrecipe.com

is by far the best tasting mayo ever. I got it from More with Less put out by

the Mennonites. It uses both lemon juice and vinegar and lasts forever in the

fridge.

I always use lemon juice when I make Mayo. I use Sunflower oil in

mine. Maybe a little more honey. I am not a fan of olive oil as I

think it is strong many times but I know many really like it.

Don't give up. Just keep trying.

but it was total YUCK - had to rinse my mouth to get the taste out.

Very bitter.

used extra virgin olive oil - are other oils better tasting in the

mayo? Used maybe 1/2 tsp of honey. Any suggestions would be

appreciated!

Thanks Sandy and Sheila for the mayo replies. I usually love EVOO so I don't

know why the taste of this mayo was so repulsive!

I could not find that recipe under dressings. Elaine includes

Child's mayo recipe which is on page 100, edition 10 of BTVC
