Guest guest
I have to say that the mayo recipe I use, which is posted at www.scdrecipe.com is by far the best tasting mayo ever. I got it from More with Less put out by the Mennonites. It uses both lemon juice and vinegar and lasts forever in the fridge. Charlene UC 8 years SCD 5 1/2 years I always use lemon juice when I make Mayo. I use Sunflower oil in mine. Maybe a little more honey. I am not a fan of olive oil as I think it is strong many times but I know many really like it. Don't give up. Just keep trying. Sandy M. > > I just made the Mayonnaise from BTVC. Not sure what I did wrong but it was total YUCK - had to rinse my mouth to get the taste out. Very bitter. > > I used lemon juice - should I have used vinegar instead? I also used extra virgin olive oil - are other oils better tasting in the mayo? Used maybe 1/2 tsp of honey. Any suggestions would be appreciated! > > Kim :-) > 1 month dairy-free SCD > 3 yo ASD, 2 yo NT > >
Guest guest
Thanks Sandy and Sheila for the mayo replies. I usually love EVOO so I don't know why the taste of this mayo was so repulsive!
