Guest guest
Hi everyone, I am at day ten post op, and I am ready to start trying some foods. Not that yogurt and broth are not delicious, it's just that I have always believed variety is the spice of life...lol. I am planning to make some mashed potatoes, and some oatmeal for my first foods. How long did everyone wait before trying other things? I took my kids to Mc's for lunch, and there was nothing I could have there. I was wondering how long it would be before I could have the yogurt parfait with the fruit in it, and especially how long before I can have salad. I have really been wanting to have some salad, but am not sure if it would be a problem to eat it. My stomach feels absolutely fine, as if nothing has been done to it, so I guess I will be braver than some who are still feeling a little sick. And, by the way, the best thing happened to me a Mc's! I just had to take a lick of my daughter's ice cream, it was previously one of my favorite snacks... and it tasted HORRIBLE! I am not sure what Dr. R. did to my taste buds, but I hope that happens with all the sweet stuff! I can cross ice cream off my list of foods that I will be craving! What a feeling! Deb in IL ready to eat some soft foods!

What a treat it was to see you up and doing so well the day you got out of the hospital! It was a blast at Cattleman's, even if you did have to eat soup! I'm putting the incriminating pictures up on the website I'm working on. Stay tuned for news . . . I'm taking high bids on the naked pictures . . . . Hugs, >> Thanks ! You are the only one to ever say that to me. If you were a man, I would ditch the hubby and marry you...LOL And I didn't even get soup, they had cheesy mushroom or something like that, and I didn't think that would be so good for my new tummy.
