Guest guest
Hey Rick. Make sure you discuss with the Doc how much meds they are going to give you to help you relax. Guest guest
I have even grabbed the scope because it was hurting the back of my throat and heard the Dr yelling at me.....Mark let it go, let it go, let it go, and I know they were pumping more drugs into me because I started to fade again...When I woke up I was quite pissed and the Dr avoided me for quite some time... I hope this finds you and yours well Mark Re: ERCP - Tomorrow > Rick, I'll be keeping you in my thoughts tomorrow. > And Mark - coming to during the ERCP??? Yikes, I'd be freaked! Guest guest
Mark, Same thing happened to me...twice. I always tell the docs to knock me out big-time when doing an ERCP. I hate waking-up in the middle of those procedures. Guest guest
I had 3 ERCPs and 1 EUS. They would only knock me out for the ERCP with manometry. The rest of the time they just gave me versid and demerol and unfortunately I do not get drowsey like most people. Although they say EUSes are less painful I thought the EUS was total hell. I felt like I could not breathe and that I was going to hurl the entire time and it lasted over one hour. I never spoke to or saw that GI again. I had him send my results to a different doc in the same practice because I literally wanted to beat this doc to a pulp. Which is sad because he was just trying to help me figure out what was going on and how to treat it. But its like an instant Pavlovian instinct -- once someone does that to you, you just want to retaliate. be well, Bert > Mark, > > Same thing happened to me...twice.
