Guest guest
The diets that worked varied with the child, but we did not follow " one approach for all, " as we did not all have cf and were not all alike. We tried to take the best from each source recommended--the " pinch here, and a pinch there " approach. Speaking solely for me, I can say that in general seeds and whole grains, have to be powdered before I can handle them, and I will publicly confess that flax seeds (even powdered) defy any amount of enzymes that I can manage to gorp down. Sorry, gang, just an old-fashioned cystic fibrosis patient. However, I do limit red meat. My blood-work just came back, and is very good. But that is true of most in my family, including those with cystic fibrosis. And I do not spend my time consuming junk food, sugar, or saturated fats. I guess that I myself am the most saturated fat around! Love to all at cfparents, n Rojas, who gained a bit having all those darned joints replaced!
