Guest guest
Can anyone tell me what SCD bread recipe works best without eggs and/or substituting something else for the eggs? What is the best substitution for eggs in a SCD bread recipe? Does gelatin work or does something strange happen to it when you try to bake it in bread? My son has a serious egg allergy but loves bread (especially as toast and in grilled cheese sandwiches) and has been asking for the whole wheat toast he used to have. He never liked the GCFC/egg-free bread that had fruit puree in it (he likes fruit separately, but not in his bread and toast). He does like his bread and toast to be buttery (he loves butter--tries to eat it straight off the knife). He likes white bread and potato bread also, so the SCD recipe doesn't have to replicate whole wheat bread exactly. Thank you for any advice, mother of Adam (7 11/12, PDD-NOS, lyme, asthma, egg allergy, SCD beginner)
