Guest guest
Hi , Someday you will look back and think I wish she was two again. The most important thing to do is remain in control. If you tell her to do something, follow thru and make sure she does it no matter how much of a fit she throws. A time or two I had to just physically leave the store because Steph or was throwing a fit. Everything is a negotiation from now until the time they leave home. The one thing that is not negotiated is their treatments. They must do them one way or another. Use something that she really likes to do. Like a movie, special doll, etc. I hate to use candy as a reward but sometimes you just have to. Hang in there. Tina W. mom of Steph, almost 18yo wcf CF Calendar Hi all, I am just so excited about my recent cf garage sale. It raised a little over $200 for the printing of the cf calendar I am working on to help raise money for the CF Foundation. I still have 4 spots available if anyone would like to be featured in the calendar just contact me at entnursenikki@.... Update on Madeline: She is ROTTEN with a capital R. At 18 months old now, she is saying a lot more, but she has the NO down pat. You ask her any question and the answer is " no " and it is not just " no " , it's " NOooOOooOO " in a high pitched shrill of a voice. She has definately hit the " terrible two " stage. PLEASE tell me how long does this normally last... How much longer are people going to let me in front of them in lines at the grocery stores and at wal-mart. My poor mother who watches her while I'm at work now calls 2 and 3 times a day to update me on all of the bad things she is starting to do. She is starting to throw temper tantrums, throw things and scream for no reason. My husband and I try swatting her hands and her leg, very lightly and talking to her in a stern voice, we have been taking her videos away, making her sit in her crib, nothing seems to work right now. As for treatments cpt has become a joke. We usually do 20-30 min. 2x's a day and now we're lucky to catch her and get a good 10-15 in while she's kicking, screaming, and crying the whole time. We have been trying to do them at nap times and after bed time when she has already fallen asleep, but feel like we are not helping her to learn that she must have her treatments. We don't want her to feel like she has won the battle, but then again, we want her to get a good treatment!! If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated. Don't get me wrong, she is still my little princess, angel, Madeline Jayne; it's just been very trying on the nerves lately!!!! The calendar is going well, other than I still need a few people to volunteer to be in it, if I don't fill all the slots within the next week or two the cff said they would have no problem getting a few people to be in it for me. I have decided on a local printer who I can work very closely with and I have a meeting with a graphic designer. I haven't had too much support from the community, but have had tremendous support with family and close friends. I will be having another cf garage sale in the near future to try and raise more money for printing, I am only $500 away from my goal now!!! I can't believe I decided to do this the first week in August and everything is really happening!! The only downfall is we will only have 2 months to sell the calendar before the new year. I think I have rambled enough, thanks for listening and please contact me if you are interested in the calendar at all. Thanks, -Mom to Madeline 1.5 (starting terrible 2's)

Guest guest
Hi , You are not alone. Zach just started this two weeks ago. It has me stumped and frustrated too. Zach is still just babbling and isn't saying any real words yet. We do sign language and he laughs at us while doing the " no " sign. It is quite humbling to be mocked by a baby doing sign language! Sara - mommy to Zach - 18 months and tackling the terrible two's > She is starting to throw temper tantrums, throw things and scream for > no reason.
