Guest guest
Hi Marilyn and Everyone, I'm probably going to be long-winded, and I apologize in advance! Yes, there is more than one Carol on the list, it's me! And I'm happy to say that I can be part of the exercise group. I have been on my exercise bike 3 times this week. Working my way up from 5 to 8 minutes. A little tightness in my throat, and soreness in my quads, but it feels good to be able to do it. I also once did part of my toning routine from one of my classes, with no weights to check out my muscles. It's been 2 months since I've done it, and I've lost alot of strength. But the good part is, it seems like my body is adjusting to the meds somewhat, even though I know they're not working to calm the RP like they should. I'll be seeing my Dr. on Monday to figure out the next step. And I have 4 quarters in my Garfield cup that shows him lying in a hammock saying "It's not a pretty life, but someone has to live it". So we all have to live it to the fullest!! I'm sorry I've haven't been more actively participating this week. Our cable was out for a few days, and then my IT son had to use my computer to fix his future father-in-laws. Of course, that has to take precedence! I'm going to post individually those who've asked for specific exercises, just please everyone be careful and listen to your body, The enthusiasm for the exercise is wonderful, but it will be short-lived if you are too sore, or it stirs up a flare. Go easy, and make it beneficial for the long run! I have a question... Has anyone had alot of pain and swelling in the jaw joints and back behind the ears down into the neck? I've had a sinus infection in my facial sinuses for two weeks, just finished the antibiotic, and of course it didn't work. But now this has spread back into the jaws and neck area. My chipmunk face from the pred is even rounder now with this stuff, and I swear my teeth are moving! My right ear is also flaring with redness and a bit swollen, but not painful. I also know I've got activity going on in my nose again. One side has already been collapsing, and now the other side is acting up. Well, I didn't write to complain, just trying to figure out if this jaw thing might be infection or RP. I'd appreciate any input. I've read most of the posts I've missed, and sorry I'm not a quilter, but I support your craft and think it's a great idea. I'll certainly drum up buyers for raffle tickets! I'm getting my mailing list for my letters to go out this weekend, luckily I have a saved the wedding invitation list from my son's wedding last year. So that will be about 50 letters! I'm anxious to see the brochures and will do what I can to spread the word. I've already had an Orthopedic, and a Neuro tell me they've never heard of it. Imagine, an Ortho who doesn't know about destruction of cartilage - and this guy is one of the best ortho surgeons in our region!! He was the very first Dr. I saw 4 years ago when this started with joint pain, if he only would have had a clue; oh well, can't look back, but we can sure get the word out now. And I'm so anxious for Dr. Utz to get started on our project! Thanks to everyone who has worked so hard to get these off the ground!! Enough for now, sorry to be so lengthy, but I wanted to catch up! I wanted to let those know who have been having difficult times, I'm praying for each and every one of you. We all have to take it one day at a time, and trust ourselves to know and to learn what will be the best way to handle it - and we will!. Please have faith and know I'm thinking about you everyday. For those who are doing well, God love you and keep you on the positive path. Please use your strength to keep you healthy, and to help others in the group achieve that strength also. Take good care everyone. Have a good weekend, and I'll talk to you soon! Love always, Carol G Thanks for the support Carol. I already had a Carol on the list. Is there more than one? Glad to see so many are willing to do this. We now have eight volunteers on the list.
