,

I've read same thing about " plain " Robitussin. I've read it from Kim Payne, and

also from Norma Kennedy Plourde's site, if I recall well... It's also used to

thin mucus on women with CF, who want to conceive, as Guaifenesin helps thin

mucus, not only from the lungs.

I've used it on Agustin once, but I'm not sure if it did any good to him. He

eventually did great with clarithromycin, which was prescribed against his SA.

Wait a minute girls!! Now, I am really confused! Does not mean that

I have a clear head all the time, either, :) But, I was told to give

a Guaifenesin, because it is supposed to loosen up and thin the

mucus, not only the mucus on her lungs but also anywhere else. Now,

you girls are telling me that I should not give this to a.

Am I confused with another cough medicine? I do recall the doctor

saying only plain Robitussin.

Ricky is usually prescribed Q-Bid when he is very wheezy. I think this is

guaifenesin. I know that it didn't used to be used for people with CF but

the docs at Stanford seem to prescribe it frequently. It does help him

cough up stuff.
