Guest guest
Hi all. We have been doing SCD ( with good results ) since May. WE have in th last week gone through a period of severe constipation. Just a little backround. we did the intro diet ( properly ) and went through the stages. We have completed all the stages and are giving all foods cooked and raw ( including juices )but NOT yet giving goats yoghurt, all butters and cheeses. My question is whether someone believes we should continue cooking foods and if so, how long would you recommend? I know its based on the individuals ability to digest but any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your replies in advance Rocanddi
Guest guest
I do think you may have introduced raw foods too soon. You have to go by your own symptoms, though.... there is no such thing as a timetable that all can follow. When you say you've introduced ALL foods.... you mean you are already using beans then? It would be too soon for beans. If you're not doing yogurt, I hope you are using a legal acidophilus supplement? You MUST repopulate the gut with good flora. Patti help re constipation Hi all. Do you have a record of which foods may have contributed to the constipation. (ie. foods added in the last 2-3 weeks)? It may be either the types of food added or that they are raw now and no longer cooked. Have you added in any supplements, treatments recently. (eg yeast treatments can sometimes cause constipation)?
