Guest guest
I don't think the other numbers on the report are that important - at least not at a high level. As a point of reference our doc recommends banding at 10mm of asymmetry or above. Are you doing repo and seeing progress? If not I don't see the point of waiting 2 mo. It is fine to band at 6 mo, but banding at 4 mo is even quicker since growth is faster. My daugther got her band at 5 mo. Our ped gave us a referral at 4 mo, but then we had to see the specialist, get scanned for the band, and wait for it to come it. She had severe brachy, so I'm glad we started early. Let us know what happens next. Oh, and make sure you check out the repo tips in the files section to see if you can get some improvement without the band if you end up waiting the 2 mo. PT without repo is probably not going to improve his headshape. -christine sydney, 3 yrs, starband grad > > > > > My son is 4 months old and has torticollis and plagio. Guest guest
Elaine, I just want to second what said: if at all possible you should get the referral and get going with the banding. My son may have had numbers like yours at 4 months. When he finally was measured at 5 months he was 11 mm and 94%, but I am sure he was just a bit worse in the asymmetry the month before whereas his CI was substantially better! I am convinced that repo did more to make his brachy worse than his plagio better. I'm a huge fan of banding thanks to the success we've had, and I'd say you will probably want to do even if you get a modest improvement from repo. In any case, good luck! It's great that you caught it early. > > > > > My son is 4 months old and has torticollis and plagio.
