Guest guest
, My dentist gave me a special toothpast to me that is only available from your dentist (Rx) to help protect my enamel and stuff. It's called PreviDent 5000 plus. And instead of brushing with it, he has me put it on my teeth and leave it on when I go to bed, more like a cream than toothpaste. It's made by Colgate. Also, if you have dry mouth from any of your medications, you should get a mouthwash called Biotene (available at the store) to help moisturize your mouth. Just thought I'd pass that on to you all. Guest guest
Kimber Thanks for the tip about the tooth paste I will ask my dentist about it. My teeth are so bad and brittle now sometimes I am afraid to bite things because they just break!
Guest guest
, I know my teeth are in really bad shape. I have a couple that need root canals and I've got real brittle teeth. I've had a couple break on me already. Luckily, I've currently got insurance, but only for a little while. It will be gone once my cobra ends. Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@... Guest guest
Kimber, We have good dental insurance but it still cost $800.00 for the root canals which I need 1 of to save one broken tooth and $600.00 for a new crown on a molar. I don't have the money so for now I will just have to keep eating on the other side of my mouth!
Guest guest
, I know how that is. I've got good insurance too, but it only covers up to $1,500 a year and I have had up to $3000 of work done last year, so I owe the dentist quite a tidy little sum right now. And I've got another appointment with them next week. Oh joy. Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@... Guest guest
, I need two also, one on each side though, so I can't favor one side over the other. It cost the same here, except that I now insist on sedation and my insurance won't pay for that. I'll just trying to get up the courage to get them done, and hope that perhaps the dentist can do both at the same time, and save me a little $$$! Do you have a medical school with a dental college anywhere in your area? That's what my brother did, and his were only 1/4th the cost. With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H.
