Fliss,

it isn't necessarily that calcium supplements increase calcifications in

the pancreas, but that hypercalcemia (high calcium levels) can cause

attacks of acute pancreatitis, which is a different thing altogether.

I'll have to look up the sources I have that list hypercalcemia as a

cause of pancreatitis and post them to the board for anyone who finds

this of interest.
