Guest guest
Thank you! I love to read stories like that. It makes all the pre-diet prep I have been doing seem so worth it. All day I have been cooking squash, carrots, carrot muffins, crackers, popsicles, etc. I'm tired but so excited. My almost 1 1/2 year old NT son is pretty much compliant now, because his constipation disappeared so quickly. I doubted myself (and the diet) and gave him his old babyfood last night for dinner and he was up crying half the night! He seems so much better on SCD. My 2.75 year old ASD son is not compliant yet because I have to be better prepared to make sure he has enough food but in the next few days we will be there! I hope to see some of the amazing improvements in my ASD son (and me too!) once we get completely SCD-compliant and overcome the die-off period. Guest guest
Would broccoli fries be baked the same way as squash fries? I haven't heard of these before. The stories were great and inspirational! Janet- SCD 2 days in support of son and for brain fog Cody- 5 yrs old- SCD since 4-17-06- multi food allergies/intolerances- leaky gut- etc. > > 3 weeks ago, he wouldn't touch any vegetables. Now he is eating squash > fries, broccoli fries, and beet chips (all homemade).
Guest guest
I also thank you for posting these stories and for sharing P, about your son. We all need to be shown that SCD works. Even us, that have been here for a while. This set back with KIKI has not been fun. GOOD NEWS though! Thanks to SCD her diarrhea is gone. Yet she is having deliriums and seizures (they had vanished thanks to SCD, and now they are back). IN past before SCD...celiac crises would have lasted MUCH LONGER! Thanks to Rotatvirus she has been " hit by a truck " , we can only imagine that her intestines are a mess again. But even with some of her set backs, she has not lost many of her SCD gains....her ability to try to talk/ communicate, her smile, ability to have imaginary play, and her motivation to connect with her sister, and her family, still remains..... It is so nice that this has worked for us....We waited close to 2 years for my first true hug and smile, from this little girl. Set backs are not fun. I was warned about them....now I know why. I became a little cocky here, with all the success we where having prior to this set back at four months. All have told me that it took time to get sick and this first year will be a bumpy road. But like a dear SCD friend said to me...there are " rests " along the way... so enjoy the scenery. WE are ready for a rest again....we eat SCD and pray that it comes soon. God Bless those who are new and have joined us here at Pecan Bread. Antoinette and (both celiac/add/asd) parents to -5 celiac/adhd, Kiki-2 celiac/autistic and Bubbles-1 Hyperekplexia; SCD entire family 2/
