Hello group,

I'm new here and have been struggling to stop the weight

loss after 7 days on the SCD diet (I am a bachelor with

limited cooking skills but am learning quickly...) To

be fair to the diet though the weight loss has been

going on before the diet for about 4 months now since a

trip to the Dominican Republic. In all the years I have

had IBS before the trip it was never bad enough to interfere

with my daily routine/life. It was just an annoyance...until

now.

My question is on whether the probiotic I have

is SCD legal or not. Here is the breakdown:

L.acidophilus (two strains) - 18 Billion CFU

Bifidobacterium Bifidum - 3 Billion CFU

Bifidobacterium Lactis - 3 Billion CFU

It also says:

Contains no added sugar, starch, salt, preservatives,

artificial colours, flavours or additives, corn, wheat,

yeast, soy, dairy or animal by-products.

The brand is HMF Intensive. I have seen some previous

posts which say that only the Acidophilis is SCD legal.

Can someone please explain why the other bacteria strains

are not legal?

Thanks,

Vito
