Guest guest
I am fairly new to both the message board and chronic pancreatitis-- -only 2 years, but bad ones for me---am now experiencing kidney pain and am not sure if it is related to the pancreatitis---have not had the time to go in to the dr. yet---thought it was just muscle pain, but am quite sure it isn't now---not bad, just not going away---about 2 wks. now and not getting worse, just real sore at times---hope everyone had a very happy holiday season!! God Bless!!
Guest guest
Hi, welcome back. Did you find that info I emailed you a few months back about that procedure you were asking about helpful? I'm sorry your having more pain. I dont know if your pain is kindney or not, but I have pain radiating from my right upper abd, and around my back just below my rib cage. Sometimes that is my biggest complaint is the back pain, but it is from the panc and how it hits different nerves and muscles when it is inflamed. It also radiates from my right shoulder to my right pelvis. When all three hit, I am a mess. Do you have a history of kidney problems? Hae you ever passed a stone? Now thats awful!!. Have you ever had blood in your urine? I like to use a heating pad on my back it just relaxes it some. I hope you feel better soon and I hope your holiday was wonderful. Keep in touch. -- In pancreatitis , " coperanch " <coperanch@y...> wrote: > I am fairly new to both the message board and chronic pancreatitis-- > -only 2 years, but bad ones for me---am now experiencing kidney pain > and am not sure if it is related to the pancreatitis---have not had > the time to go in to the dr. yet---thought it was just muscle pain, > but am quite sure it isn't now---not bad, just not going away--- about > 2 wks. now and not getting worse, just real sore at times---hope > everyone had a very happy holiday season!! Guest guest
Are you sure it is your kidney. Alot of times I have pain from my pancreatitis under my ribcage to my lower back. Do you have a GI that you see regularly? Patty, Louisville, KY

Guest guest
I have had 2 attacks where the pain actually started from down near my kidneys...I thought..omg..now I'm having a kidney stone attack on top of CP and my stupid tumours...went to the hospital, but by the time I got there (1/2 hour) the pain had shifted mainly upwards, and when I tried to take a deep breath, of course, it felt like everything in my upper abdomen was twisting..then I knew it was definitely pancreatitis.. I told the doctor about it starting near the kidneys and they did tests for stones there, but was negative... As I had more attacks after that time, the pain tended to radiate downwards as well as upwards..I just took it as a sign of getting worse.. Guest guest
Hi, My hubby have had kidney stones for years and the pain appear to be in the lower back, a little lower than I have had my pancreatitis pain. By the way he uses to have also vomiting and diarrhea and he became really really sick and pale. The doubt could be solved doing a simple kidney US. Happy Holidays for you all, Liane
