Guest guest
Hi everyone. I had a pretty good day today and when that happens, I think to myself " maybe this illness isn't as bad as I think " . In the space of one day, I an forget the feeling of the pain and just how awful it really is. Of course, I'm quickly reminded when it comes back without warning. I wonder how I can feel so good and then so bad and then so good. It's almost like a cruel joke. Anyway, does anyone else forget the pain and what it's like when it goes away, even for a short time? Does anyone out there take morphine sa 30 or 60mg? I'm wondering how it affects others who take it. Of course it is a narcotic, but a person with my history might be expected to like it and I really don't. I know some are on the duragesic but I haven't tried that. I think the morhine helps with the level f pain that used to be almost constant. It also makes me feel unsteady and tired. My doc says I will adjust to it. My little weiner dog wants to go out. We are having a snow storm here in upstate NY tonite. I'll check back. I have been off the board since my connection got screwed up, but I think it's OK new. I may have used the wrong password, but would prefer to blame the computer . Lin Massey
Guest guest
I do not know your full history, but it has been my understanding that morphine is not good for those of us with pancreas issues as it can cause the sphincter of oddi to spasm.... jeannine > and what it's like when it goes away, even for a short time? Guest guest
Just my 2 cents worth. I also suffer from SOD (sphincter of oddi dysfunction) and nothing but morphine helps to ease the pain. I haven't had any problems with it while I have been suffering with this disease. But everyone is different.
