Dear Pancreatitis International friends,

Some of you may remember me from about almost three years ago. I'm Henry

on and used to exchange msgs. here

Hi Henry, we sure have missed you. It has been too long dear friend. I am

so happy you are back with us. I wish you didn't have to come back to the

group but I am so glad to hear from you again. Carole isn't part of the group

anymore but once in a while she will write to me asking if I have heard from

Henry. I always tell her no with sadness. I just forwarded you e-mail to her.

She will be so delighted to hear from you. I wouldn't be surprised if she

wrote to you very soon. I sure do miss Carole too. She is such a very nice and

kind person.

I had my pancreatectomy and islet cell transplant done Dec. 2000. Were you

with us then? I am doing great from the surgery but I have some other chronic

illnesses that I had before I had cp and some I have developed since. My

surgery was a success except I am a mild diabetic.

Do you remember Peg? Her son was very young when you were with us

and he had the pancreatectomy and islet cell transplant also. He is doing fine.

So many people who were in the group back when you were with us have had the

surgery and they are doing well.

It is great to have you back Henry. You became a part of my family. We grew

to love you so much.

How are you? Have you had any surgeries? Do you still go to the hospital in

SC? Please write to me and let me know how you are. I can't wait to hear

all about you and what you have been up to. Love, Shirley

Dear Poncho,

Thank you for the warm welcome back and best wishes! :-) How have you

been doing my friend? Hope things are going better for you than back then.

You are always so smart with advising people. You have a lot to share and

people need you here, so I'm glad to see you're still here. It's nice to be

welcomed back into the family and start learning about how folks have been

and find out who all the folks are that have joined up since I left. Take

care my friend!

Your Pal Always,

Henry
