Guest guest
, My daughter had 8mm asymmetry, got in a DOC band and within 2 months, her asymmetry went down to 2.1mm. She is in a second band now for her brachy, but I have no doubt if I were to take her back for a scan of her head her asymmetry would probably be very close to 0mm if not 0mm. Also, I have to add that she didn't get in her DOC band until she was 9.5 monhts. So, if your son is younger and only has plagio, I would go for it now and be done with it in just a few week. I could see her plagio when most people told me they couldn't. Now, I can't anymore. I'm still pushing forward and feel we should try it but want to know if anyone else with this minimal assymetry has seen improvement. mom to Blake
Guest guest
I dont know that I have heard of many who did initial banding at 7 mm but there have been moms on here who went ahead and got a second band at that and seen additional improvement. I can see wanting it since after treatment my sons measurements were 4, 5 and 6 mm assymetry and even at those lower numbers it was hard for me to opt not to get a 2nd band b/c I see it (and he is over a year post band and has lots of hair now and I still see it). Who said you would see little improvement?
