Guest guest
Hi, My daughter had a band from a local ortho recommended by our ped and when we got to the end where she was in normal limits, but I still had concerns about regression because at the time she was still a back sleeper, he said she could wear it at night. If nothing else, it put my mind at ease and I didn't have to cringe when I saw her laying on her newly rounded head. Maybe it isn't standard practice, but I didn't find it to be a joke since it helped me!!!!! She even got an extra mm of correction from wearing it at night even though she was technically done!! Guest guest
I have the same concerns about regression since our son isn;t crawling yet and just rolls. I think we will likely wear it at night for a bit even though he mostly sleeps on his tummy. I understand the cringe factor! Congrats on another mm!! Guest guest
If you decide to keep it on at night, make sure it still fits properly. Our daughter had outgrown her band when she graduated. Our ortho did his best to make a little more room just in case she needed time to adjust, but we didn't put it back on. -christine sydney, 3 yrs, starband grad > > > > > From: mommy2jaylina@ <mommy2jaylina@> > > > Subject: Re: Helmet only at night? > > > Plagiocephaly > > > Date: Thursday, March 5, 2009, 6:23 PM > > > That's an experienced ortho for ya.
