Guest guest
Try whatever you think she might tolerate based on previous experience. And don't give any more nuts. It's too soon. If she is not tolerating much of anythng, nuts are just too difficult to digest for her right now. Plus she is young and has a history of true food allergies. I would not introduce nuts until she is 2-3 years old (what I've heard from others who have seen allergists). Nut allergies are rarely outgrown and are often life-threatening. What about avocado? Very high in calories and typically easy to digest. Jody mom to -7 and -9 SCD 1/
Guest guest
<<So, day 6 and we are enbarking on ANOTHER day of squash and beef... we both don't want to eat. Tomorrow I an going to try chicken... any other suggestions?>> What type of squash are you using? I would suggest both zucchini squash and butternut squash. <<I just tried cheshew butter on her.. she loves it, but I think I may be seeing a reaction.. puffy under her eyes.>> I honestly think that at this point, it will be difficult for you to be sure of what is an actual reaction... and what is simply die-off. You said you are seeing die-off symptoms. This may continue for days or weeks. I'm not sure how to tell the difference.... but you need to do what you feel is right. Can she not have bananas? <<1. On this diet, can I eat things that are SCD leagal, but that Emma ( my daughter) can't eat.. because she doen't digest them well?>> I don't see why not. I suppose you should avoid any food that she has true allergic reactions to. <<Also, what would be your suggestions for adding foods?>> There were a couple of responses on this very topic yesterday. I don't have time to re-type... but would suggest you look back on the past messages from yesterday to a response I gave under the subject line: " stages and cheese question " . <<I have a batch of yogurt going, and am going to introduce that slowly through me at first.. I eat it, some of the " good stuff " get to her through my breast milk.>> I am actually not sure this is true. Maybe someone else can comment, but I have my doubts as to whether the probiotic actually passes through your milk to her gut. Patti
