Guest guest
, I would just wait with them and try again at a later date. If he's not tolerating them yet, that's ok. Perhaps later. Nuts can be a great part of SCD but you can do without them for a while. Charlene UC 8 years SCD 5 1/2 years Patti My son began to eat nuts since fridays 9th twice a day 10gr on each, in the morning with fruit and the same quantity on night. He has not eaten nuts in 2 years. Every thing seemed to be well but since monday night he began to show some annormal neurologycal symphtoms like to be a little hyperactive, he could not sleep early and he made poop at 10:30pm on monday, tuesday he awaked up with a bad convergence and he could not sleep again early until 12pm. Those symphtoms are frequently when some food is not well tolerate for his gut. On his IgE test he is allergic to almonds but he is not to the nuts. What can I do, what is going on? I know the nuts are important part of the SCD. __________________________________________________ Correo Yahoo! Espacio para todos tus mensajes, antivirus y antispam ¡gratis! Guest guest
, I agree with everyone else. Each child is different. Go slowly.... introduce things slowly, one at a time. If ANY food seems to cause a problem, remove it and try again later. It is not mandatory that he eat nuts right now. Were they whole nuts? We usually suggest starting with nut butters, which are smoother and easier to digest. Don't worry, just try again later. You're doing fine. Do not overdo baked goods with nut flour. > > > Carol F. Celiac, MCS, Latex Allergy, EMS SCD 6 years
