Anyone who has had surgery in the Month of Aug, Who were approved for

insurance coverage (in network), what fees were due at time of

clinic? what fees were due at hospital on surgery day? Did you just

have to pay your Copay? I'm going to be at clinic on 8/29th and I'm

trying to anticipate fees.

thank you

Hi ,

I didn't answer this because I'm not sure that my ins info will be relevant

to your insurance (you did not say what ins you have). All are different,

and it also depends on your particuliar policy as to what coverage you

actually have. In other words, we could both have Cigna, but have different

co-pay responsibilites. Some have a co-pay for any surgery.

I have Cigna and I paid only the $10 copay for an office visit (for clinic).

Other than that, I paid nothing, not even to the hospital. Now, others with

Cigna have had to pay something. As I say, it is totally dependent upon your

exact policy. Also, I hear that Dr R will be requiring a deposit soon (I've

heard $1,000).

None of this is Gospel, though. Hope it helps.

Regards,

Debbie in IL

Hi. I went to clinic in July and don't remember if they asked for my

co-pay. You go to Dr. Rutledge's office and get in the system and

then they send you to a different building for clinic. If you pay a

co-pay, you will pay it at Dr. Rutledge's office before you go to the

clinic building. I had my surgery on August 11, and I have a PPO plan

which made the surgery in Network, I guess. I did not have to pay

anything when I signed in for surgery, but they do ask for your

social security card and insurance card. I forgot both of those

things, but luckly, they did take me anyway. I have not gotten a

letter of payment from my insurance company yet, but all was Pre-

certified before I went into the hospital so everything went

smoothly. I hav'nt had to pay anything out of pocket yet.

Barb told me that I could call (you have to get the number from her)

the surgical nurse after 3:00pm on the eve of my surgery. The

surgical nurse can give you the time that you are scheduled for

surgery. I was scheduled for 10:30am, but went at 6:30am just in case

he got to me sooner. My surgery ended up being at 10:30 anyway. You

do just show up at the hospital. The person at the desk when you walk

in will help you get to the proper place to be checked in. It was no

trouble at all. I stuck my ID in my pocket, and went by myself. My

husband and son showed up later. I did not take anything with me. I

put on my clothes that I wore in when I left. It could'nt have been

easier. Best wishes.
