Good luck to you...sounds like you are the path to GREAT health! Tami from Oologah, Ok Re: DEVASTATED!!!!!!! I am absolutely devastated. Kristi in AL >> Kristi!!!!!! Jan is not all that far away!! For sure you need to ask for an antidepressant, one that will help calm you down. Dr R is delaying your surgery for YOU. So that you will be safer and get well faster. During this time you can concentrate on the exercises that you can do, eating healthy and for sure doing some relaxation exercises for your mind. Maybe get someone to work with you and learn to meditate, yoga really helps some folks. Water aerobics would be wonderful for you. You simply must keep busy when you are not saying your prayers!!! I send you these suggestions out of love and friendship. My surgery was Jan 10th and I must say that Jan. is an excellent month for this surgery!!! OK???? Breathe in through your nose and exhale through pursed lips very very slowly. Practice this technique over and over and you will become more relaxed. I am in Pulmonary Rehab now for the next year to help me with my health issues. I have severe scoliosis (curvature of the spine) which has crushed my left lung. Now that I have lost 93 lbs I stand a lot better chance of getting my body in good shape if I work faithfully in the rehab program. Thanks to Dr Rutledge. Even after surgery and weight loss there is more to do, so keep in mind this is a lifetime persuit. Our goal is wonderful healthy living and we have to work on it forever. Guest guest
Dear , I am from Missouri too, tucked in the southwest corner of the state. I just started the process. I just about have my packet completed, I'm waiting to include the information from my PCP (appointment is not until September 1, 2000). As soon as the results from the PAP smear are back I think I'll be ready to send it in. Have not heard anything back from my insurance company yet - Premier Health. I'm just going with the assumption they will be merciful and then I will have everything in place and be ready to go. If not, I have three teenagers for sale. Let me know if you have heard of anyone from this area going to Durham, their insurance experiences, and if there is a support group here locally. Guest guest
Dear , My heart sank into my stomach when I read your e-mail this morning. I still have not heard anything from Premier (only sent Dr. R's letter to them last Tuesday). When I called Premier this morning they said they still had not approved or denied the request. When you received your denial from Premier was it with the same request letter that Dr. R sends out now? I thought the letter was so informative and proved medical necessity that they would be hard pressed to deny. Which plan under Premier do you, did you, have when they denied you? Did you do an appeal letter? I take it, since you had the surgery in January, that you did self pay? How did that work? I live in Nevada, Missouri so we're only two hours from each other. I'm thankful you responded to my e-mail so I'll have someone close that can give me the scoop. Look forward to hearing from you. Guest guest
I have the Premiere ins that St s employees have, whatever kind that is??? Anyway we went through every appeal in the book and they made me think that they were going to approve my surgery. They made me try xenical first and go to St Louis and see a supposed obesity expert first, which was a big waste of time. Now we are sueing them and I have an excellent lawyer. You are welcome to call me at 864 4123. I will try to help you in any way that I can. We have to make them pay for our surgery, no matter what it takes as we have so many others that need to go to from St s. bye now.
