Guest guest
hello my name is tiffeny and i have 2 girls with cf and live in ky. we just returned sunday from tucson arizona visiting my parents. anyway i was wondering if anyone with cf is from there or have kids and live there and how do they do? the reason i am asking is because my youngest who is 8 has a lot of breathing problems cant play long aoutside without becoming sob and so on but while in arizona she played her little heart out even climed some mountains with no problem no coughing no sob it was unbelievable and she even said she could breath better!! i know the pollen and everything is lower out there and she has been tested for allergies which she tales claritan, singulair and flonase. but the change was unreal and guess what i had to do today take her to dr!!!!! only after being home for 2 1/2 days!! any feedback would be appreciated. tiffeny mom of whitney/9 and paige/8 both w/cf
Guest guest
Tiffeny Sorry I do not live there but my clinician said that it is probably one of the best places to move to if you have the oportunity. He really feels that the air quality is better that and it is a happy medium of humidity not to much not to little. We are military family and have been trying to get orders out of FLorida too humid causing all kinds of breathing issues with my little guy wcf Colgan he is almost months now. Hope that helps at all Ashauna
Guest guest
Hello Tiffeny, It sounds like you had a great time in Arizona. Where abouts in KY do you live? I think that KY is a beautiful state. Sorry, I don't know anything about the effects of weather on people with cf. Guest guest
I live in Tucson, AZ and my daughter has cf. I really can't say how she does hear as far as the climate is concerned though because we don't have a lot to compare it to. She does have a hard time with the heat so she doesn't go outside a lot. She is also only 3.5. Sorry I can't be much help on the weather issue but still thought I would respond. I do love it here, it is a great city to live in.
