Guest guest
, I am still nursing, and starting taking a DHA supplement from Nordic Naturals a few weeks ago. I don't think that it has done anything for Mark's eczema. Maybe he needs the EPA for the eczema. Can you tell me how much EPA and DHA are in 1/2 tsp. of his fish oil? He is pretty much grains free since the whole family is scd. The only time we go off of it is when we're eating at someone else's home. It's too much work to pack up food for five of us, so we just pack food for iel. Are the juiced carrots for you, or was the baby also drinking the juice? How do you get the baby to take the fish oil? Do you just squirt it into his mouth, or mix it with something? Thanks for any answer you can help me with. Meleah Supplements etc >> >> >> > I've been noticing the illegal & legal supplement list. Guest guest
What is CLA The baby rarely gets dairy, and wasn't getting any dairy when the problem began. Now that we only use fluid milk for making yogurt, I rarely consume dairy. We do eat eggs though. Could this be the problem? Guest guest
Did you mean to ask " What is CLO? " ? CLO is Cod Liver Oil. Guest guest
Mark is 15 months. The eczema started in early April, or maybe late March. I was drinking probably 8 oz. of milk a day...I always have...and was consuming other dairy(cheese, ice cream, ect.) on a regular basis. I also had always been eating things with eggs in them(muffins, pancakes, ect.) but rarely ate eggs themselves. It might have been around the same time that the eczema started that I started eating eggs for breakfast, but I just don't remember. He never had dairy before his first birthday, so it wouldn't have been the cause. He has been breast fed from birth, and is still nursing regularly(4x per day). I just can't figure this out. He's totally healthy otherwise...at least it appears so. I guess that I'm speaking in the " normal world " terms. SCD has shown me that many people think that they're healthy, but they really have a whole lot of issue that they don't even know about. So, maybe an EFA is the key for getting rid of this eczema. Any other thought? Guest guest
, Creams, lotions, and anything else that isn't consumed doesn't have to be legla, so I'll check out this link for what you use. I definitely am going to start mark on fish oil tomorrow. How long before you started seeing results with that? If I don't see the eczema clearing up, then I guess he and I will both cut out dairy and eggs to see if that's the problem. We've already cut the grains. Boy, he won't be happy about the eggs going if that has to be tried. Meleah Supplements etc >> >> >> >> >> >> > I've been noticing the illegal & legal supplement list. Guest guest
First of all.... I need to remind all of you to please remember to trim your posts. Sometimes you might reply to a LONG string of other replies... when you don't need to leave all that hanging on to the bottom of your message. This really CLOGS up the digest for those list members that get the list in that form... so PLEASE TRIM!!! (If you don't know how, just write to me off list... durovchic@... ). Secondly....Michele, I'm getting a little bit confused here because you are listing some supps that are illegal on SCD. Are you giving these to one of your kids that is NOT on SCD?? This can be a bit confusing for some of the other list members with a list this big (2500+), so I need to be clear that the following are illegal: <<ProBio Gold>> (contains inulin) <<BarleyMax green supplement>> If you guys are conversing mainly about eczema, and are referring to some of your kids who are not on SCD, then please continue the discussion off list. I know it's a big concern, but it's sort of drifting off topic. Thanks! Patti
