Guest guest
<< Dr. R. didn't put you up to this, did he? (Just kidding, but he ribs me about my early comments which were almost identical to yours every time somebody else comes along and says the exact same thing, which has happened several times now). Just about everybody says the same thing at the 2-3 week mark, no kidding, Sherry -- I did, too! This surgery is a lot easier than any of us expect and afterwards, it's not nearly as hard to make the physical adjustment as we expected -- that's all there is to it! >> Hi: I had to laugh when I read Sherry's post. Sherry, I had my surgery the day before you, and I'm exactly where you are! In fact, I talked to in Talkcity.com about the same thing! I paniced after I had one day of non-stop grazing, and wisely suggested to just follow my appetite - that the new stomach would, in fact, let me know what was going to sit well, and when I'd had enough. So I'm doing just that. I'm still on liquids and soft foods, for the most part. I tried a bit of a salad today, which tasted great, tried a little of the stuffed shells and sauce offered at the same luncheon, and left 3/4's of everything on my plate. Felt fine. I didn't even think I was eating very slowly, but I was full when I finished. - thanks for sharing this good advice. It's really helped me to calm down about all of this. xoxo Blair
