Guest guest
By all means I will also ask my many friends on our phone & TV chain to also do the same. in numbers it is so helpful... have a safe trip & lots of fun as well LOVE & HUGS< GRANDMOMBEV Trip to Lourdes France Hello all! Here it is on the 11th. Rosemary I am thinking of you. A good friend of ours had a baby on Tues. (the actual day that was 9/11) and they named him after their brother who was killed at the WTC. His and the baby's name is Novotny. It was very hard to see 's nephews get up and read names of other victims from the list and end it with and our Uncle !!! Not an easy day! Well, it has not been an easy week. Moe was in Columbia last week for a CT scan only to show that the Crohn's is acting up again and she lost 5 more pounds. She is now 93lbs 5 ft 3 and 13 years old. She was put back on prednisone for 45 days! I hate steroids!!!! Jack is doing very well. We've got him potty trained. He is speaking a little french and he wont be 3 until Oct. He will start preschool the beginning of Oct. Kate, wocf, has strep for the 6th time in a year. We will be visiting the ENT when we return from our trip. Our Trip: On Sunday, God willing, at 5:10 pm EST we will be on our way to France. The Knights of Columbus, a Catholic organization, will be paying for Moe, Jack, Me and . The AOH, another Catholic organization, held a raffle to pay for Kate. We are going for a total of 10 days. This is a pilgrimage to Lourdes. For those of you who are not familiar with the background....Lourdes is a town in France where The Virgin appeared to St. Bernadette when she was young. A spring formed and the water from the spring is holy. Now I am a realist. I don't expect to go with my children and have them come home CF and Crohn's free. As we al know we don't always get what we pray for otherwise we would have all won the lottery by now. What I am looking for is even harder than the children being " cured " . I am looking for my husband to get it! I want him to move out of his shack by the river Nile and come back to the real world. That's all I want. HONEST! I can deal with the rest just give me some HELP! I will kneel down at the grotto and say a special pray for all of us to be granted this. I just wanted you all to know about it and keep us in your thoughts and prayers for our LOOOOOONG journey. Guest guest
Meg, I am sorry you had such a rough 9/11. My heart breaks for all of those we lost that day. Know that your loved one will never be forgotten by any of us ever! I will be thinking of you for sure during your travels. My best friend in the whole world has Crohn's disease - no cf. She even drove 3 hours to walk for Zach last Sunday. She is amazing. She really hates being on prednisone too. She gets remicade (sp??) infusions that have been helping. I am not sure if it could be used for children, but it is worth a shot. She also must eat probiotics (sp???) in applesauce, so she and Zach have something in common. I really hope your trip is wonderful and your prayers are answered. Sara - mommy to Zach 19 months > Hello all! Here it is on the 11th. Rosemary I am thinking of you. Guest guest
Meg, Have a wonderful trip!! My sister was in Lourdes about 2 years ago and she said it was unbelievable. People from all over the world paying promises fulfilled by our Blessed Mother. As a devout catholic I know what it means to go see the place where our Blessed Mother appeared to little Bernadette. Please do expect a miracle, I certainly am, the cure! I hope everything goes fantastic. mom of a 10 wcf, Venanzio 7 nocf, Pepe 3 nocf > Hello all! Here it is on the 11th. Guest guest
Hi Meg, Wow, I cant believe that Jack is 3, I remember when he was a little baby, time sure does fly. I knew a family that went to Lourdes with their little boy, Jonathon was about 4 when they went, he was a healthy baby when born and after the second set of DPT shots he was severely brain injured. We did patterning with him, and his mom and dad took him to Lourdes. It sounded so beautiful when Kathy would talk about it. Have a safe trip, and I hope your prayers come true. Take care, , mommy of 4, 4 wcf
Guest guest
Meg, I sure do hope that you do get what you are praying for. I know what it is like to have to do things on your own. It is ery difficult when you have another well body to help and they just sit and watch you knowing that " she can handle it " I hate that mentality Good luck Love to you and yours Ashauna
