Guest guest
The ear problem isn't good .I hold you all & especially EILISH in my special thoughts . You seem to be doing all you can ,so it will most likely be " all better " for wish trip . I love your evening treat. May we join you ?? Enjoy LOVE & HUGS, grandmomBEV Ear infection Question As luck would have it Eilish isn't feeling well at the moment. She has a head cold with a lovely green shade of boogey (can't think of a nicer word). She has started on Augmentin Duo tonight to get rid of it before we fly of on our MAW trip. The thing is clear fluid is coming out of her ear. Never had this happen before. I know her sinuses are really full and she has a earache, would this be a normal thing? seems to think as long as its clear like water its probably just the infection. She just looks like she has a cold, you know when their eyes look glassy. Still no cough though, so I am hoping it won't progress. Everyone's in bed here, so I am sitting her with a cuppa and a chocolate and cream donut Yummy!!!! Goodnight (Australia)
Guest guest
OH, golly . I am sure that is it. Now that you mentioned that. She also could just be having drainage from plugged in water (light color) being able to get out. Sometimes the drops can break the blockage & it flows. Also plugs in by you all before she gets back in so no more gets in. I am sure you could just call the doc or Rx about that one. Ear fills are common in FL. They can be painful too . Kinda like getting plugged in airplane pressure if your not swallowing or chewing :) :) Whatever I sure hope its MUCH better in am. Guest guest
Did you have the doctor look in her ears? When ever mine had any drainage out of their ears they had a busted eardrum due to an infection. The augmentin duo should take care of it, but you might want to know so that you can keep her ears from getting wet inside until it is healed. Guest guest
, I hate to hear Eilish is getting sick, the trip is on the 17th, isn't it. Give her a lot of vitamin C, does she like OJ? The ear problem might be the swimming, I have one of my children that gets ear infections everytime he goes swimming w/o protection. I will say some very special thoughts for Eilish today. Guest guest
If she just recently started swimming lessons and the fluid is clear, it may just be a case of swimmers ear. You can usually get drops for it at your local drug store. I know every year at the beginning of the swim season I end up with swimmers ear, and it DOES hurt. Guest guest
We also use alcohol or hydrogen peroxide in our ears after swimming. It helps bunches. My kids prefer the alcohol, I like the bubbly sound of the peroxide in my ears.....yes, I'm weird, I know. ;-) Dawn mom of 4, 7 and under, the youngest wcf
