My friend just had surgery with Dr. Champion in Atlanta,and while I'm happy

for his improving health, I'm amazed that he doesn't understand the

difference between our surgeries(even though we've been over it!) And says

his doc let's him have cola after 2 weeks. He can also take tylenol/motrin

and thinks our surgery is too restrictive,......oh yeah AND I'm going to die

of cancer,because that's what Champion says. Well,at least he heard

something! I tried to explain why carbonation,caffeine,tylenol,and motrin are

a bad idea,but he said " Not according to my doc " . I wished him the best of

luck and reminded him that this is about lifestyle changes. He even went to

Atlanta not knowing what the post-op diet would entail,and says he can be on

soft foods just 3 days post-op. I appreciate Dr. R's insistance on education

and knowing the rules...and WHY! Thanks again Dr.R!
