Guest guest
Smart thinking! You'll enjoy clinic. Don't be shy. Just introduce yourself to everyone and ask lots of questions. Dr. R is very entertaining during clinic, but very serious when need be. You'll learn alot and be ready to schedule right away! lol Dinah mgb 081600 > > > > > ,Are you still up? > > > > > Dinah > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > This message is from the Mini-Gastric Bypass Mailing List at > > Onelist.com > > > > Please visit our web site at http://clos.net > > > > Get the Patient Manual at http://clos.net/get_patient_manual.htm > > > > > > > > To Unsubscribe Send and Email to: > > > MiniGastricBypass-unsubscribe (AT) egroups (DOT) com > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > This message is from the Mini-Gastric Bypass Mailing List at Onelist.com > > Please visit our web site at http://clos.net > > Get the Patient Manual at http://clos.net/get_patient_manual.htm > > > > To Unsubscribe Send and Email to: > MiniGastricBypass-unsubscribe (AT) egroups (DOT) com > > > >
Guest guest
Would going for a walk help? Maybe you're just adjusting to having returned from the trip. Do you have one of those portable/home blood pressure cuffs. If so, why not take your bp to see if it is elevated. Do you feel hot? LT said in a recent e-mail that lots of hormones and stuff were involved with the fat and the MBG. Maybe you're having a kind of hot flash, and the warmpth wakes you up. I don't even know how old you are, so I guess that sounds kind of nuts, doesn't it? Guest guest
I am in North Carolina, I am up so late because I work the night shift. I'm the one that works for American Airlines. I am going to clinic tomorrow. I know I should be in bed. But I cant help myself. I am polishing up my patient letter. I have made up my mind that I only live 20 min away. I need to take it in person and take advantage of the fact that it is Tuesday and turn in my packet in person. Guest guest
Well girl, fromwhat I read in his recent posts, be sure and do everything exactly like he says in his manual. He has gotten very strict about that. Check and double check it and you could be having surgery next week! Keep me posted. Guest guest
Thanks I am very excited and ready for the next step...Dancing.....lol....I love the way every thing in this place has a good out look to it. I am so glad that I don't have insurance problems. I was a very lucky cookie. I faxed in my information on the 7th of Aug. And called back on the 14th to see if they had an update for me. And it had been approved on the 10 of Aug. What a load off my shoulders. Now all I need is an O.K. from Dr. Rutledge. Amarilys Re: Night awakenings > Smart thinking! You'll enjoy clinic. Guest guest
Dinah: I can't remembe which site it was on, but two or three people have recently written that they were always hot before, you know, opening windows, turning down thermostats, going outside in winter without a coat, etc In their e-mails they commented that they were cold, now, not hot. As others before me have said, " I'm not a doctor and I don't play one on TV, " but it seems to me that heat/raised bp & temp would go hand-in-hand with headache. But the opposite wouldn't. Like you'd black out or something? Back yet. Take your temp too! J Re: Night awakenings > JUdith, You are close I'm 48! lol I'm almost past the hot flash > stage, but now I'm not hot. Guest guest
Whoaaa! I just went to kiss.com. You know, I think you could really get to know someone that way, especially by actually communicating by e-mail. I did computer match dating back in college and it was really successful, so I guess there's even more reason why this should work. You think we have to worry that Dinah hasn't come back? Do you think she's in the kitchen? Is someone in the kitchen with Dinah? J Re: Re: Night awakenings > > > > > > This message is from the Mini-Gastric Bypass Mailing List at Onelist.com > Please visit our web site at http://clos.net > Get the Patient Manual at http://clos.net/get_patient_manual.htm > > To Unsubscribe Send and Email to: MiniGastricBypass-unsubscribe (AT) egroups (DOT) com > > >
Guest guest
Wow! All MGB all the time. It boggles the mind... Guest guest
judith wrote: > > What does IRC mean? > > J Internet Relay Chat but it's just called IRC. It is real internet chat without all the b.s. that these stupid chat rooms and java applet loaded garbage dumps have. IRC has been around for 20 years. It was originally a messaging service for DOD and universities, now it is just a humongous online worldwide chat, divided up into Networks, with each network having its own series of servers at different locations throughout the world. Go to http://www.mirc.com and download mIRC, which is a program to use for accessing IRC. When you are online, boot up that program, click connect to connect to somewhere, then, whatever you are looking for, in the command line you will see in front of you, type /list *yoursubject* and it will give you a list of current channels open with that topic line. For instance, if you are looking for an " over 30's " or " 30's something " channel (people in their 30's chatting), it would be /list *30* (You'll get a list of all the channels that have a " 30 " in the title) If you're looking for gardening, it would be /list *garden* Then click on one of the selections, go there and chat. No waiting, no commercials, no crap. If you are looking for just a " chat " area, connect to one of the DALNET hosts (you will see a list of connection possibilities. There are various networks. DALNET is one network and it has a lot of host servers all over the world). Anyway, you can type: /join #chatzone /join #chatworld /join #worldchat (All commands are preceded by a /) and go to any one or all of those channels at the same time, where there are *HUNDREDS* of people from all over the world; depending on what time of the day it is, you'll get Europeans, middle eastern, US, australian, etc. Now, if you want to start your OWN channel, just type: /join #yourchannel (name it whatever you want) and it will make a channel. Other people can join it by typing the same thing: /join #yourchannel Like there could be an MGB channel all the time, no problem. Without all the commercials and javascript and crashing and nonsense. But it would require people to get mIRC (which is shareware -- use it for free then it's only $20 to register it). And people tend to think it is more difficult to use because it has -- gasp -- a command line where you have to learn a few commands, like using the / first. So instead of having fast, efficient, real-time chats without the slowness, commercials, and crashing, they go to " chatrooms " and think they are easier. Hooooey!
