Guest guest
Heidi, as I am coming off the pred, I have aches and pains that I never knew I had. Am more tired too. Just don't have that get up and go. LOL I think it takes a while for our body to adjust to not having it and to get our own body busy making the natural corisol we need. Just give him a big hug and make him some cheesecake or cream puffs, he will feel better fast. LOL hugs

As you know pred is a very strong anti inflammatory, so without it he will possibly have more inflammation for example in the joints. I think it is part of the RP because it is a systemic disease, but fortunately not everyone gets everything!! I think the best thing to do would be to have a word with Don's doctor about this. This is what happens to me after a couple of weeks off, nowadays. My rheumy says this is why I am better on a low maintenance dose. I have gone back to taking 5 per day - I could manage 4mg but I can't always find 1 mg tablets!!! Hope this helps, love Liz __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Heidi, could it be a bit of the fibromyalgia? I know that has a lot to do with the stiffness first thing in the morn, and also being sluggish, and getting worn out more easily. Since Don was coming off of the pred very slowly and on such a low dose, I wouldn't think it would affect him as much. Maybe a bit of both. Take care! Love, hugs and smiles, Lierman (:>})
